Shivers – Ed Sheeran

I read that Ed Sheeran actually spent a whole year tweaking this one because he wanted it to feel exactly like the title suggests. Somewhere along the line, he nearly scrapped the song for being “too poppy” until his friend Elton John convinced him to lean into the fun. It’s a great reminder that even the pros need a second opinion sometimes!

In one part of the video, he actually dresses up in a total Elton-like outfit – perhaps this was his way of saying thanks for convincing him not to abandon the tune.

Overall for us, this was a fun song to roll along with, although Max wasn’t quite as moved by this one as Lori was! That’s what music is all about though, isn’t it? Each song has a different meaning and feeling to each listener. If we all felt the same, there wouldn’t be much to talk about would there?
