Summer is here, and school is coming to an end for another year. There’s just something about this song that makes me picture kids everywhere breaking out of their school doors on the last day of the year, with “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” playing as the musical backdrop for their newfound freedom!
This was written specifically for the movie Trolls as a feel-good theme song, and it really does the trick! For an animated movie song, it had quite a ride in the critical and public eye. It won a Grammy, was nominated for an Academy Award, and was the best-selling song of 2016 in the US.
In our little ratings group, it had a pretty solid showing for all of us! It’s a fun song and we have often played it during one of our spontaneous kitchen dance parties. We find it hard to stay seated once those first few lines begin, how about you?
